As a live-in carer, you play a vital role in providing both care and companionship to our elderly clients within the familiar surroundings of their own homes. Living alongside the individual you care for enables you to offer assistance with all facets of daily life, ranging from personal care to household tasks, and even accompanying them on outings. However, beyond these essential duties, you also become a source of comfort and companionship during everyday moments. Whether it's sharing quiet moments reading the papers together or enjoying a cup of tea in the garden, you're there to make life's simple pleasures even more meaningful for those you care for.

Job Description

You’ll work in a small team of carers to look after a client. This will usually involve living with the client for a period of time, Depending on the Care needs, and then a team member takes over while you take some time off.


Some of your responsibilities will include:


Assisting clients with personal care, such as getting up, washed, dressed, and toileting
Helping clients with light house-keeping, such as cleaning, laundry, cooking
Going on outings, whether that be grocery shopping, social events, or hospital appointments
Providing friendly and ongoing companionship
Supporting clients with taking their medication, or picking up prescriptions
